Bio of Smt. Subha (Raghu) Sundarajan

I was born in India and was initiated to Carnatic music by my father and Guru Sri. K. N. Raghu, a disciple of late Lalgudi Sri. V. R Gopala Iyer. After my intial training under Smt. Balasaraswathi Radhakrishnan, I had the privilege of being under the tutelage of Sangita Kala Acharya late Smt. Sulochana Pattabhi Raman. I have given performances for All India Radio, Doordharshan television channel, as well as during the December music season in Chennai.

In 2003, I moved to Cary, North Carolina and started Sampoorna Fine Arts, which aims to impart sound knowledge of Carnatic music to students of all ages, emphasizing on enjoyment and appreciation of the divine art form. Students of Sampoorna Fine Arts have participated in several competitions and events locally as well in other parts of the country.
